Helmets Come in Varying Shapes, Sizes and Costs

The football helmet market is led by longstanding company Riddell. However, Schutt and Xenith hold respectable roles in the industry, while newcomer VICIS is on the rise. All four of these companies collectively hold the top ten best rated helmets according the NFL/NFLPA Helmet Laboratory Testing Performance Results of 2020.
This performance comes at a great cost for the consumer. The average cost for one of the top rated helmets is approximately $833.83. The bar graph indicates the range of prices for top performing helmets from each company.

Still Working during the Off-Season

High school, college and NFL programs have to purchase new helmets and recondition old helmets every off-season to maintain the quality of their equipment and keep up with player preferences. Our technology provides these teams with a less expensive alternative to current helmets, while also providing better protection.

Under the assumption that the average team buys 20 new helmets and reconditions 40 helmets per year, the cost breakdown for a team is as follows:

Proposed Off-Season Helmet Cost
$200-$250 (per new helmet)
→ $25-$40 (per recondition)
 Total Estimated Cost: $5000-$6600

Competitor Off-Season Helmet Cost
$289-$1700 (per new helmet)
→ $50-$75 (per recondition)
 Total Estimated Cost: $7780-$37000
